Hobbies
Cycling/Triathlon, Cooking, BYU football. These are my hobbies. Each fall I look forward to being able to enjoy all three with the luau, Fall Perfection, and the football season all overlapping. Fall also used to include hunting, fishing, and camping, but kids and a full-time gig pushed those off the list. I had too many hobbies and so some had to go.
Apparently, there are plenty of people in Utah that need more hobbies besides just watching football.
Fans on both sides take the game entirely too seriously. As I read about this incident, I couldn't help but think that too many of those fans base their identity on the team. They also don't seem to have enough healthy outlets to blow off steam.

I read an article about this, and my favorite quote had to be this one from a Ute fan:
"We're not going around hitting women, we may be throwing beer, but we're not hitting women."
That's pure gold right there!
Agreed.
Sure the current meaning of "fan" is supporter, but when these folks cross into the root word "fanatic" I wonder how normally reasonable people let a game make them temporarily insane.
Lest my previous comment be misinterpreted as me being a BYU fan, allow me to clarify. I'm not a byu fan. In fact, I hate them. I hate everything about them. I think the whole university, their fans and their organization, is classless. They threw Caffeinated Diet Coke and Gummy Bears on my family and stuff last year, and they did a whole bunch of nasty things, and I don’t respect them.
You know how I feel about football in general. I'd rather watch Ace of Cakes.
As soon as I saw the quote, I started laughing. People reveal their IQ with the type of statements they make.
@Aaron - I'd rather have someone throw beer on my wife than hit her. Thankfully, I'll avoid it altogether by not attending such functions.
I am missing all the fun being out here...
Hi, it's a very great blog.
I could tell how much efforts you've taken on it.
Keep doing!
